BID FOR GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT

INVITATION FOR BIDS

Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Contract and Supply, City of Binghamton, City Hall, Binghamton, New York, until 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 after which time and at which place they will be publicly opened and read aloud at the 11:00 A.M. Board of Contract and Supply meeting, for the following work:

 

BINGHAMTON CITY HALL

GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT

38 HAWLEY STREET

CITY OF BINGHAMTON

This project will include: Renovations to various areas of and around City Hall including stormwater planters along Hawley Street, roof replacement to City Hall and Council Chambers with vegetative roofs and rain water harvesting from Council Chamber roof in accordance with the Contract Documents dated August 6, 2019, prepared by Keystone Associates Architects, Engineers and Surveyors, LLC.     

The Contract Documents may be examined at Dataflow, 19 S Washington Street, Binghamton, NY  13901, (607) 772-2001.  Copies may be obtained upon a non-refundable payment of $50.00 (check or money order, payable to the City of Binghamton), per set.

No proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by a notarized bid guaranty which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid for the total work contemplated to be done.  At the option of the bidder, the guaranty may be a certified check, bank draft, negotiable US Government bonds (at par value), or a bid bond approved by the Corporation Counsel.  Certified check or bank draft must be payable to the order of the City of Binghamton. Cash deposits will not be accepted.  The bid guaranty shall insure the execution of the agreement and the furnishing of the surety bond or bonds by the successful bidder, all as required by the contract documents.

The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to award the contract in the best interests of the City of Binghamton, New York.
