Bids & RFPs
In addition to procuring goods & services from County & NYS purchase contracts, competitive bids are required for the purchase of materials or equipment in excess of $10,000. The threshold for public works or building contracts (labor & material) is $30,000. Bids are advertised in the Press-Sun Bulletin in the legal ads.
Bids are typically advertised EIGHT (8) business days prior to the bid opening. The bid advertisement contains information as to the nature of the bid, due date & time, and where to obtain bid documents.
The board of contract & supply will accept RFP’s at their office in city hall, 38 Hawley Street, Binghamton, NY until: 10:30am on WEDNESDAY JULY 19, 2017, after which time, and at which place, they will be publicly opened and read aloud at 11:00 am at the meeting of the Board of Contract and Supply for the following:

Information may be obtained in the Purchasing Department at City Hall or by downloading the RFP on the city’s website. Interested parties should forward their RFP’s to the Board of Contract & Supply department on the second floor, City Hall, or mail to Purchasing Department, City Hall 2nd floor, governmental plaza, 38 Hawley Street, Binghamton, NY 13901.
Invitation for Bids
Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Contract and Supply, City of Binghamton, City Hall, 38 Hawley Street, Binghamton, New York, 13901, until 10:30 a.m. on June 28, 2017. All sealed bids should be taken to the Board of Contract & Supply, 2nd Floor, no later than 10:30 AM. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the 11:00 a.m. meeting for the following work.
Pedestrian Bridge Demolition
The contract documents may be examined at the office of the City Engineer, Third Floor, City Hall, 38 Hawley Street, Binghamton, New York 13901. Disks may be obtained upon a non-refundable check $75.00 (check or money order, payable to the City of Binghamton) per disc.
