In addition to procuring goods & services from County & NYS purchase contracts, competitive bids are required for the purchase of materials or equipment in excess of $10,000. The threshold for public works or building contracts (labor & material) is $30,000. Bids are advertised in the Press-Sun Bulletin in the legal ads.

Bids are typically advertised EIGHT (8) business days prior to the bid opening. The bid advertisement contains information as to the nature of the bid, due date & time, and where to obtain bid documents.

Invitation for Bids

Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Contract & Supply, City of Binghamton, 2nd Floor, City Hall, 38 Hawley St, Binghamton, NY 13901, until 10:30 AM on August 2, 2017.  Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the 11:00 AM meeting for the following work:

2017 North Side Building Demolitions

The contract documents may be examined at the Office of the City Engineer, 3rd Floor, City Hall, 38 Hawley Street, Binghamton, New York 13901.  Disks may be obtained upon a non-refundable payment of $50.00 (check or money order, payable to the City of Binghamton) per disk.

Bids will be received by the Board of Contract and Supply, City of Binghamton, City Hall, 38 Hawley St, Binghamton, New York, 13901 until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, for the following work:

The Plans and Specification Book may be obtained at the Office of the City Engineer, Third Floor, City Hall, 38 Hawley St., Binghamton, NY 13901 or by calling the Engineering Dept. at (607) 772-7007 for a non-refundable $50.00 fee.

The board of contract & supply will accept RFP’s at their office in city hall, 38 Hawley Street, Binghamton, NY until: 10:30am on WEDNESDAY JULY 19, 2017, after which time, and at which place, they will be publicly opened and read aloud at 11:00 am at the meeting of the Board of Contract and Supply for the following:
