Binghamton Police Traffic Stop Recovers 7.8 Lbs Of Marijuana


On September 15, 2017, at 10:06 PM, Patrolman Paul Ryan, while on routine patrol, saw a vehicle leave an area on the North Side of Binghamton known to him for drug activity. After observing two traffic violations he stopped the vehicle on the Brandywine Highway.

As a result of the stop, 7.8 pounds of marijuana in several vacuum sealed bags was recovered. The marijuana has an approximate street value of $32,000. In addition, $2,590 in cash was seized. Arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the Second Degree, a Class D Felony:

Key was arraigned in Binghamton City Court. Bail was set at $1,000 cash, $2,000 property and Key is out on bail.
