Kopernik STEM Programming

The Kopernik Observatory & Science Center partnered with Mayor Richard C. David in 2017 to bring STEM-based after-school programs to youth centers across the City. Children at the Boys and Girls Club of Binghamton created and launched paper rockets as part of the programming, aimed at encouraging learning about the sciences outside the classroom and piquing children's interest in STEM careers.

As part of the partnership, Kopernik also brought programming to the Broome County Urban League and the Binghamton Housing Authority community centers at Saratoga Heights and Carlisle Hill apartment complexes.
