City of Binghamton, New York

Tree Management Plan

The City of Binghamton’s vision to promote and preserve the urban forest and improve the management of public trees was a fundamental inspiration for this project. This vision will ensure canopy continuity, which will reduce stormwater runoff and improve aesthetic value, air quality, and public health.
The City of Binghamton is thankful for the grant funding it received from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation through its Urban and Community Forestry (UCF) Grant Program. The UCF Grant Program is designed to encourage communities to create and support long-term and sustained urban and community forestry programs throughout New York State.
Davey Resource Group was selected to conduct the comprehensive tree inventory and to provide a management plan. You may view all trees in the public right-of-way and public parks at the City's TreeKeeper website
